HOPE Community Services

HOPE Community Services of New Rochelle has opened Homework Haven, HOPE’s new afterschool program, which offers a variety of programs and activities for grades two through eight.

The program, which operates from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, offers free homework help and tutoring; arts and crafts; games; and recreational activities. A maximum of 12 students can be accommodated. Families can walk in to register their children on a first-come, first-served basis. City School District of New Rochelle Superintendent Jonathan Raymond attended the introductory event this week.

HOPE Community Services, at 50 Washington Ave., has become a multifaceted community service organization, offering summer camp, housing for the homeless, a kosher pantry, community outreach, and more. To learn about Homework Haven, call (914) 380-9716.
